Freelancers and small businesses

Small Business

Free tools for freelancers and small businesses: check an IBAN, put a scan-to-pay QR on invoices, share your contact, label stock, take requests.

You send invoices, get paid by transfer, hand out your number at a counter and answer requests online. Each step has a small way to go wrong, an IBAN with one character off or a phone number misheard. Small Business gathers the fastast tools that remove those slips for freelancers and small businesses, in the order the work goes, free and without an account.

A valid IBAN is well formed, not proven

The IBAN validator checks the country code, the length that country expects and the modulo-97 check digits, and takes a whole column at once, one verdict per line. Whether the account exists and belongs to your client, only the bank can say; I would read valid as a clean copy, nothing more.

The transfer arrives already filled in

With a SEPA payment QR code on the invoice, your client’s banking app opens a euro transfer already filled in: beneficiary, account, amount and reference. The IBAN is verified before anything is encoded, and a plain invoice number becomes an RF reference your bank can match to the payment. The code moves no money: the payer still confirms the transfer in their own app.

Contact details and WiFi, handed over by scan

A vCard QR code offers to save you to a client’s address book, spelled correctly, and comes with an e-mail signature to paste. For the shop, the WiFi QR code makes a guest card, with the key written on it only if you tick the box.

Labels for the stock, a form for the requests

The barcode generator works out the EAN-13 check digit for you, draws Code 128 and six other symbologies, and lays up to 100 consecutive codes on a sheet of captioned labels. It draws a number without allocating one: goods sold on a real till need a number bought from GS1.

The form generator starts from the errand, a contact message, a booking or a quote request, and the form’s answers go straight to the destination you name. A contact form collects personal data, and the record of processing activities template turns GDPR Article 30 into questions: what data you handle, why, for how long and who sees it. It is not legal advice.

A page, and the accounts behind it

The Markdown landing page composer previews a page written as one Markdown document, your form included; it does not publish, and the document is yours to keep. The LinkedIn carousel maker then turns your slides into a PDF for a LinkedIn post.

The secure password generator offers three passwords at a time, each with its entropy and time to crack. Where Stripe or Shopify ask for a second factor, the two-factor authenticator gives the code from the setup secret with nothing to install. It is a beta, so keep the recovery codes.

What you leave with

  • A payment code for the invoice, or a PDF of A6 payment slips, up to 40.
  • A PDF of business cards for a team of up to 50, and a guest WiFi card.
  • Barcodes as PNG and SVG.
  • A form address, which the QR code generator turns into a code for a poster.

Questions

Is there a free invoice QR code generator?

Yes, the SEPA payment QR code generator: download the code and drop it onto the invoice you already make. It covers euro transfers only.

Do you keep my IBAN or my client’s details?

No. An IBAN is checked and forgotten, and the details behind a vCard are not stored, logged or indexed.
